University of Essex Undergraduate scholarships

The University of Essex is offering unlimited scholarships to students  in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India. It is one of the leading public research institutions in the U.K. and is located in the south-east county of England over three campuses in Colchester, Southend and Loughton.

Regional Scholarships 2019-20
The unlimited scholarship is offered as part of the regional scholarships given every year by the university. These are unlimited scholarships, which essentially serve as discounts for tuition fees for undergraduate and masters programs. For students from the Indian subcontinent, the regional scholarship amounts to £4,000 in tuition fee waivers.

Eligibility
Students from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan are only eligible for the scholarship if they fulfill the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be classified as international students, and nationals of Bangladesh, India, and/or Pakistan.
  • Applicants must be self-funding their education. Those who are partly or fully sponsored by other organisations are not eligible for this award.
  • Undergraduate applicants must make the University of Essex their firm choice on UCAS by May 31.
  • Masters applicants must have a conditional or unconditional offer from the Graduate Admissions Office.
  • All applicants must be in their first year of study.
  • Applicants cannot combine this award with other University of Essex awards.

This scholarship is valid for most undergraduate and masters students, except for those applying to the East 15 acting school. Students who defer their offer are also ineligible. However, if they choose to intermit their course after joining, the remainder of their scholarship may be made available as a pro-rata payment at the discretion of the department and the Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment.

Application
In order to be considered for the scholarship, the applicant must submit their IELTS/TOEFL scores to fulfil the English requirements of the selected course, and should also meet a minimum academic score in their last completed qualification.

The application must be completed by June 30, 2019. Successful applicants will be informed, in writing, by the end of August 2019.
