winner of the prestigious People’s Choice award at the iD International Emerging Designer Awards
At the iD International Emerging Designer Awards held earlier this month in Dunedin, Indian design graduate Shreya Jain, bagged the prestigious People’s Choice award for her spring summer collection – Tropical Confectionery. Gaining popularity with each passing year, the iD Dunedin Fashion event, witnessed an impressive 200 entries from all around the world, with 43 finalists, representing 19 countries participating for the fashion show.
Shreya isa graduate from India’s prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai. Shesaid, “Design to me is very personal and is a way of expressing me feelings. I am thrilled to be able to showcase my designs at such a grand level with such renowned judging panel and talented people from across the globe.”

For her impeccable fashion sense and dynamic styling, Shreya won the coveted Otago Polytechnic People’s Choice Award. Her spring-summer collection catered to Women Ready to Wear – high fashion apparel and accessories.
The Otago Polytechnic's Fashion Design School is one of New Zealand’s most reputed institutes for fashion design. It is recognised for its international opportunities, industry connections and providing a platform to develop individual style and identity as a fashion designer.
“It was the ultimate combination of culture and couture at the iD International Emerging Designer Awards, Dunedin,” said iD Guest Judge Benny Castles, Director and Designer at WORLD.
