Huawei, China’s largest maker of telephone equipment, has announced it’s third annual Huawei-Maitree Scholarship programme – geared towards promoting Indo-China cooperation through education.
The scholarship, offering up to USD$5000 – intended to assist in covering the student’s living or tuition expenses during their time in China - is awarded to Indian undergraduate and post-graduate students who are already studying in China or have been admitted for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Launched in 2011, 15 Indian students have so far been awarded the Maitree Scholarship – and have attended Peking University, Zhejiang University, Hong Kong Science and Technology University, among others.
Last date for submissions to the 2013-2014 scholarship is 26th July, 2013. Decisions to be announced in August.
