Glion Institute of Higher Education, ranked among the top three institutions of hospitality education in the world, has launched hospitality MBA programs on its London campus. The MBA in International Hospitality and Service Industries Management at Glion London offers full-time, hybrid, professional and executive programs for candidates at varying stages in their careers.
“As the only Swiss hospitality management institution based in a British university setting, we believe Glion London offers a unique environment for MBA students. This program will give them the flexibility to study on campus or online, or combine both, in a city that exposes them to a wealth of opportunities,” says Mr. Guy Bentley, CEO of Glion Worldwide.
Founded in 1962, Glion Institute of Higher Education is a private Swiss institute that offers undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs in the fields of hospitality, tourism, and events, sports and entertainment management.
Glion is accredited at the university level by the NEASC and ranked by luxury hotel hiring managers among the top three hospitality management schools in the world for an international career (TNS Global Survey, 2013). Glion is located on three campuses in Switzerland and the UK: in Glion, above the famous resort of Montreux on the shores of Lake Geneva; in Bulle, in the heart of the Gruyère region; and in London.
Glion London will offer an on-campus MBA, a one-year interactive learning experience delivered by a highly qualified faculty. The campus, located on the grounds of the University of Roehampton, provides graduate students with a modern, mature study environment and easy access to London’s city center. Home to more than 70 five-star hotels and over 50 Michelin-starred restaurants, London is a hub for luxury tourism, and an ideal location for graduate students who aspire to launch careers in international hospitality business management.
In the hybrid MBA degree (one to one and a half years), students learn on campus for one semester, and then complete their degree online. It allows graduates to enter the industry more quickly and apply their knowledge in a real-world environment.
The two Professional MBA options combine campus-based semesters and internships, with the option to complete the courses online. This hybrid model is designed for recent graduates and allows them to acquire key skill sets by alternating courses, professional training and online learning.
The part-time MBA for executives and working professionals is designed to strengthen their leadership and key management skills in areas such as marketing and finance. The program combines online courses with on-campus learning sessions at Glion London.
The online portions of the MBA programs allow students to attend lectures anytime, from anywhere with a faculty composed of industry experts and managers.
“An MBA from Glion London will empower students with the knowledge and confidence to achieve their goals in the hospitality industry. Glion London’s MBA programs will give them insights into key business subjects such as leadership, marketing, research methods, corporate finance, and global strategy, which are all essential to this fast-paced industry” says Mr. Bentley.
