The Mitacs Globalink Research internship offers students a 12-week internship that increases their knowledge of research in their field of study; access to Canada’s unique applied, dynamic and innovative research landscape; a rewarding experience combining academic research at a Canadian university campus, professional skills development workshops and social activities; a chance to gain international experience in a new country; and the opportunity to return to Canada for graduate studies with a Mitacs Globalink Graduate Fellowship.
Internship opportunities are currently available at over 45 universities across Canada. In 2014, the Mitacs Globalink hosted almost 500 research interns.
Mitacs is a Canadian not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing the up-and-coming generation of researchers through innovative training and research programs.

Additional information
The Mitacs Globalink is a unique internship program that links talented international undergraduate students with world-class researchers at Canadian universities. The program seeks to build research links with India and connect with its future innovators and entrepreneurs. It is funded by the Government of Canada and the provincial governments of Alberta and British Columbia as well as several universities.
The Government of Canada values its academic and research linkages with India and welcomes Indian students to study at our internationally-reputed universities, institutions and colleges.
In March 2013, Mitacs was awarded $13 million from the Government of Canada in Budget 2013 to expand the Globalink program to add new research exchange programs, and to provide international research internships in countries around the world to Canadian undergraduate students.
