About the Job:
Braingainmag.com is looking for a Graphic Designer with relevant work experience and formal training in web/graphic design for the e-zine (www.braingainmag.com). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of various graphic-focused web projects. This includes digital web banners for the site and various social networking sites, print, packaging, and promotional landing pages, and must also demonstrate excellent organization skills as well as the ability to perform other design work as assigned, under deadline pressure.
Responsibilities Include:

Assist in all phases of projects, including the creation and design for a huge variety of products and activities, including, but not limited to: websites, web banners, online campaign visuals, email templates, presentations, advertising and sales collaterals

Work closely with the Editor and Marketing Manager on project requirements, project time estimations, coming up with design concepts, presenting design options, creation of final designs

Maintain graphic control over the braingainmag.com and www.salwanmedia.com, as well as various social networking sites

Preparing and proofreading designs to be sent for print
Minimum Qualification:
-
Candidate should have a degree in graphic design or a related field, with 0-3 years of experience

Must have a creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense

Well conversant with MS Office and design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

Understanding of color and form
-
Exceptional attention to detail

Strong communication skills to present and explain ideas to colleagues

The ability to grasp client needs and consider practical solutions

Ability to balance work on several projects at a time
-
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team and in a fast-paced work environment

An awareness of the competitive business environment in which they work
-
A matter-of-fact approach when ideas or designs are rejected
